Ngoma na Sarakasi is a transformative initiative organized by the Kenya Cultural Centre, aimed
at celebrating and promoting Kenya’s vibrant cultural heritage through the arts of percussion,
dance, and acrobatics. This program provides a dynamic platform for artists, particularly those
hailing from Nairobi and its environs, to showcase their exceptional talents, enhance their skills, and uplift their livelihoods.

The project has four main objectives starting with a move to to create a vibrant platform for artists from Nairobi and its environs to showcase their artistic prowess in the fields of percussion, dance, and acrobatics. The program also wants to foster empowerment and skill-building for artists, nurturing their talents to international standards.

Ngoma na Sarakasi also intends to generate livelihood opportunities and sustainable income for artists by showcasing their work. Finally, the Friday performances should elevate the quality of Kenyan cultural performances, enriching the nation’s artistic
landscape.
