Pridelands Wildlife Film Festival is a three day event of non-stop celebration of Africa’s beauty and impactful wildlife and conservation storytellers.

A discussion session from PWFF last year in Watamu.

The three-day event will host the world’s best natural history filmmakers in the heart of various wild and magical Kenyan locations to produce, celebrate and explore opportunities for collaboration with some of Africa’s rising stars and filmmakers from various corners of the world.

PWFF’s objective is to showcase stories that promote awareness, knowledge and an understanding of science, wildlife, and the humans that impact our world every day. The festival champions local wildlife filmmakers and inspires a new generation to challenge conventional expectations about how we conserve wildlife and habitat.

Filmmakers can expect lively Q&A’s after every screening, engaging daytime programming including panels, show cases, and networking opportunities with top-notch filmmakers, fresh media makers, conservationists and scientists working on the protection and preservation of African wildlife and wild spaces. PWFF’s collaborative spirit offers opportunities for many national and international conservation partners to be involved in post-film screening discussions and field trips around magical Kenya.

Awards & Prizes

Festival laurel, award trophies, social media promotion, complimentary passes.

Mentorship opportunities with judges and key industry stakeholders can be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Films eligible for Pridelands Wildlife Film Fest’s juried competition must have a central focus on wildlife species, natural history, or conservation. The jury’s chief concerns are scientific accuracy, ethical decisions made during production, and demonstrated efforts toward the betterment of our natural world. PWFF’s judging process prioritizes a robust representation of perspectives in every category. PWFF highlights both the best of this long-lasting genre as well as alternative approaches to storytelling.
