
This week the Godown Arts Centre presented a preliminary report around Mapping Cultural Infrastructure In Nairobi, a project In collaboration with Nairobi City County and supported by the UNESCO-Aschberg program.
The presented data looked at cultural infrastructure within Nairobi and building capacities and frameworks for gathering data that can be used to strengthen the creative economy and tourism in Nairobi. In the coming weeks together with Cultural Officers from the Nairobi County Government, the GoDown’s team will focus on building on the preliminary data.

Present at the presentation were Anastasia Mutethya Nyalita, CECM – Inclusivity, Public Participation & Customer Service, Clement Rapudo Sijenyi, Chief Officer – City Culture, Arts & Tourism, Stella Kemunto, Deputy Director – City Culture & Arts and other officials of Nairobi County and The GoDown.
