Kenya’s creative industry continues to shine on the global stage as Ivy Trizah Muhenje, representing the nation at the 73rd Miss World edition in Vietnam, secures high-ranking finishes in the pageant’s fast-track challenges. The Kenyan beauty queen delivered an outstanding performance during the Top Model competition, earning a place in the Top 21 overall and finishing among the Top 6 contestants from Africa.

Adding to her impressive victories on the world stage, Ivy was also named among Africa’s Top 6 finalists in the prestigious Beauty with a Purpose segment for her social project “Showing Love Behind Bars,” which supports incarcerated mothers and their children at Lang’ata Women’s Prison.
Her remarkable achievements in Southeast Asia come during a historic 73rd edition of Miss World, which marks a major milestone as Vietnam hosts the global extravaganza for the very first time. The competition has brought together over a hundred delegates, showcasing dynamic fashion presentations, talent exhibitions, and humanitarian endeavors.

Ivy’s impressive run is part of a strong showing by African contestants in Vietnam, where delegates like Tamunosoye Karibi-George of Nigeria co-dominated the fashion runway events alongside top contenders from Botswana, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.
Prior to stepping onto the Miss World stage, Ivy Trizah built a well-grounded foundation combining academic rigor, fashion experience, and public presence. An alumna of the Co-operative University of Kenya, she balanced her higher education pursuits with a thriving professional modeling career. Her rise in the pageant world was steady and deliberate; she previously earned the first runner-up title in the Miss World Kenya 2024/2025 competition before being officially elevated and crowned Miss World Kenya. Beyond the runway, her versatile background includes active community outreach and creative storytelling, proving that modern pageantry is as much about intellect and social impact as it is about elegance.

In the grand architecture of global fashion and culture, Miss World stands in an elite circle alongside pageants like Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth. Together, these global showcases represent the absolute peak of international pageantry, serving as premier platforms where fashion, diplomacy, and performance art intersect. For local models, designers, and stylists, these platforms offer unprecedented exposure, elevating home-grown talent directly into international creative circuits.
Within Kenya’s expanding creative economy, modeling and beauty pageants play a pivotal, highly strategic role that extends far beyond simple aesthetics. Pageantry is a multidimensional artistic expression that weaves together haute couture, garment design, stage production, storytelling, and visual choreography. When a model takes the stage, she acts as a living canvas for local fashion designers, texturing traditional themes with contemporary styles to broadcast a country’s rich cultural heritage.

Furthermore, pageants serve as crucial economic incubators for the creative sector, generating opportunities for hair and makeup artists, fashion stylists, photographers, and creative directors. By converting beauty and poise into social advocacy and cultural diplomacy, pageantry demonstrates how artistic expression can drive meaningful social change while positioning Kenyan talent on the global creative map.
